I'm getting the OBX too. Maybe if I could read the sign in the picture a little better but I can't make much out. I know it is a 704 area code which narrows it down a bit and I'm pretty sure the last 4 digits are 7871. If I could just figure out what those middle 3 were. I'm not tagging today but A.C.T.G. can be fun too.

It's 704-xxx-7871. I've tried a bunch and can't nail it down. The pic is pretty washed out. I *think* the sign says something like Bolt & xx Storage. Or Belt.... I've spent enough time guessing. Pretty sure it's somewhere between Charlotte and Statesville.

I've googled 704-828-7871, 838-7871, 858-7871 and all combinations of 7811. Tried sharpening the pic in a couple photo editors.

I'm basically down to some storage facility (or not) somewhere in the 704 area code.

My guess is that one person's definition of "premier destination" may differ from another person's.

Screw it. Going riding.

I did come up with South Point Storage in Belmont doing the same but even if parent company to that site, the logo is different and the site looks pertty different. No tower in the view, no curbing on the pavement etc. Couldn't find any other locations for them. I got a hit with a number for Sherrill Industries in Dallas but they are a machine shop. I did a search for destinations, for restored water towers, blue water towers, and storage 704-***-7871 and have struck out.

I do think it is a current pic. Right time of year, a bit of sun, frozen plants. Plants look right for the foothills. Lots of clues there, I just fail to put them together.

Guess I am not even a good at ACT now.

I think part of the problem with "clues" is if it's a place you've been to or ridden past 50 times, it seems familiar. But to people who have never been there, it's a head scratcher.

I prefer the clues version as opposed to just posting up the exact address or coordinates. But I think a lot more attention needs to be paid to the actual clues if the photo doesn't look obvious to people who do NOT live in the area.

My first guess for this one is Southern Pines. Other than that and NASCAR tracks, there aren't any premier destinations in that area, to be honest.

Found it in 5 minutes while holding a baby in Hobby Lobby. Think Sallaway Bay

Hey, at least it's not a cotton field on the side of the road somewhere...

Hey, I found that cotton field in less than a minute but I know that area well. :p I did think I was going to get shot while taking the grab pic though.

This tag has me confused though.

Just googled "boat and rv storage 704 7871". Nothing special about that. ;)

Nope. I didn't think of "boat" storage. The pic is pretty washed out on my display.
Good deal.

Oh, I had that one narrowed down to within a few miles, I think. If I was in the area, I'm sure it wasn't that hard to find. Just being a smartass...
