Well I submit for the consideration of the group every large hunk of metal without tires on the north or west edge of Luzon kinda heading maybe towards Big Muddyish. I went down both gravel roads that approach the northwest corner from Mackall and left out Slate Circle. The tracks in between were not street bike friendly and are still generally frowned upon even with the right ID card. I did as much exploring as possible around an actively delayed airborne operation. There was one track along the south edge that I couldn't go down because it would have involved literally driving through military vehicles. Kinda trying to say this might not be have been a valid tag but hell I had fun. Picture time.

35.012783, -79.477975

or

35.014683, -79.476627

or

and on the way out

That was fun in my work clothes. Picked my feet up and came out clean.

Like I said, I don't think any of those are the tag but I think you need to let me take this one and huck it out in town. Your average tagger should not be putting around out there. To many units doing to much different stuff on any given day.

Make a decision by lunch time and I'll throw up something familiar and tasty.

Looks as if a file photo was used for placement as the turret is now turned and there has been a burn. It's the same tank, the leaning tree in the background is recognizable in both pics.

I think you're right. I was looking at the cement blocks in the background too. I figured all the turrets rusted stuck 20 years ago.

It is legal. Those roads are maintained by local, state and federal funds.

It was a file tage from the last eastern ADV dinner at Pik-N-Pig a few weeks ago.

Glad you had fun luni! That is what it is all about. There are a few decent spots down there to kayak fish also.

Couldnt see the tank on google but certain angles on Bing show a tank ...still a 730 lb bike plus 200 lbs of me dont mix too well with sand...plus a water crossing make this a tag for a more dual sport oriented ride...just seems to me that would be more enjoyable but thats just speaking about my bike...

The route with the water crossing was 100% optional. I have rode a Honda Shadow Ace to the tag site before. The other roads are doable ( with caution) on any street bike.

Where to now luni? Make it interesting!
