the reasons NCTOR has lost its core LD players is not entirely due to the other regional games...Motofetcher and his wife had that horrific accident in sanford and after that he never played again...dont know if he gave up riding ...NC OKie might have felt a loss of interest ...he moved back to OK...Flashback is in Saipan ...4 yrs ago there was only the NCTOR and now it has splintered off into at least half a dozen games...none of which am i dedicated to follow...I never expected that NC would have so many games and certainly there is some truth to these games detracting from the original but if thats what people want.....

Me either. And I'm off on Monday. The Marshall area is due for some great weather over the next few days. I'd be lying if I said that the thought of giving me a mountainous target and a reason to visit MotoVicious didn't cross my mind.

Nope, but I figured those hillbillies couldn't resist moving that tag this weekend. Weather in the 60s means they'll be out to play.

Hm. Apropos of nothing do you ride gravel on your long range bike? Just wondering.

You know whoever grabs it will just use a stinking file tag and drop it at the beach and then your entire trip will be wasted.

I kid, I kid.

I ride gravel on all my bikes.

Although, the Bonnie hack was not fond of Old NC 105. JGNC dropped the tag there a couple years ago. MrsDonkeys and I took the hacks for the grab. The road was really bad that day, lots of fresh washout, and the ground clearance with the sidecar mounts just wasn't enough. I spent a lot of time sliding on the mounts.

I think I'm long overdue for a big run on the Husky though. Tag or no tag, if all goes well on Monday, the little man will be in daycare and I'll be riding.

I would try to invite myself but my daughter has a Dr appt that morning. I hope the forecast improves for you.

Since I've been playing, it seems to stall at the coast more than anywhere else. We're starting to see more folks head that way from the eastern side of the Triangle, but it's still the slowest part of the state, for sure.

I still watch all the games and pick and choose what I want to go for. Admittedly, I'm not running to Alabama to snag the SE tag, but if it gets within a couple hundred miles, I'll be watching it. My time for chasing tags is watered down a bit by other things, but I still watch all the games I used to personally.

Nah.... I've got some great file tags on the NC/VA state line. Hell, we used to see one or two of the VA folks poach this. Now they don't even bother with their own games...

Agreed. East of I-95 might as well be the Sahara Desert. Parkinson and ICD seem to be the only taggers out that way. If they can't get it, then it requires a serious run for someone else. I'm all about long runs for tags, but I don't have the time these days. Once BabyDonkey is old enough to fit in the sidecar, I'll be back in the game for more frequent long runs.
