Looks like a fun game. With only the XRL to ride right now...I'm holding out for one a lot closer to home!

Thinking of the first Christmas in America, I think of the Pilgrims. They didn't land anywhere near this lighthouse but they could have looked at the map wrong and ended up here.

I know the feeling. I was good for a range of about 150 miles but tried to keep it as a round trip instead of one way. My son and I did several 2 up on the old XRL. the XRL is a very capable bike top TAG on. NCOKIE TAGs with his also. But mine is no longer with my as of last month. I have aquired a theft repo one but it is in bad shape and might not be worth fixing up.

Glad you're back and made it through the knife. Nothing like a nice ride on the Tiggers to expedite the healing so let's go get the tag! Only 290 miles one way for me so it can't be that much further for you! Come on over and we'll go get it!

Seriously though, get well so we can go get tags. No riding on pills, though.

You're kidding, right? After the way you answered your phone the last time I called I was afraid to call! Hurt my feelings. I'll call you later today to relate details.

Got it right at nightfall

Roanoke River Lighthouse, Plymouth, NC

Pictures taken with my Motorola Q9m cell phone right before dark...
(yep, I actually left the point-n-shoot camera beside the coffee pot when I went riding this afternoon).

Here's a close-up:

Inside shot of McDonalds in Plymouth, NC:

I hadn't actually planned to go to the tag when I headed out for my ride but I ended up near the farmer's market off I40E in Raleigh and called the wife...she checked the tag's status for me and it wasn't grabbed yet so, at the risk of getting bruced (no laptop with me either), I fueled up and headed east at a "lively" pace, arriving just in time for photos before it got too dark. I saw LOTS of deer right around 5:00 p.m. (I think I was east of Tarboro by then) so I throttled back a bit and tried to use the cages as my offensive line... Made the obligatory food stop (grilled chicken sandwich & hot coffee) in Plymouth, then bundled up for the 3 hour blast back to the house.
New tag up in a few.
