Really great report. I enjoyed the minimalist style, dirt riding and whiskey drinking. One hell of a combo! Thank you for sharing your trips, and get well soon.

I've enjoyed many ride reports on this great site, but after a while they all start to seem the same, with words like "awesome" and "adventure" reflecting anything but.
Joe Motorcross your true hardcore and simple style may not appeal to all, but for those of us who yearn for this sort of riding, this ride report is a breath of fresh air.
Hope you post a few more like this one. This East Coaster will be heading to Utah for my first time this coming year-you've wet my appetite. Cheers

Fantastic RR. It's amazing how much you can leave behind (and also discover) if you're willing to leave the pavement. And I'm not necessarily talking goat paths either. Any kind of dirt will open whole new worlds that you can pretty much have to yourself.

Dual-sport/adventure riding: The best kept secret on the planet. And that's fine with me.

I just searched up this fantastic RR to share with a friend who is planning a trip and had to do a re-read.

Great stuff. Thank you for showing me the way!
