PHX - Sycamore - Post Rain Ride

Inches of rain last week swelled the normally dry washes causing the Tonto National Forest to close access to the area. A call to the Mesa ranger station Friday morning revealed the area was to be reopened for the weekend. A last minute ride was planned!

Yardstick - KTM 530
Slowred - KTM 350
F-Pilot - KTM 350
Jerry K - KTM 300
Tim - KTM 500
Nightstalker - Honda 450X

On the drive to the staging area, I had concerns about our ability to cross Mesquite wash, I've seen it flooded in the past, and it had just rained, A LOT!

Mesquite wash. Oh my! Still waters run deep!

Slowred spied a way across and the clan quickly followed.

All down hill back to the trucks from here...for some of us.

After this point, F-Pilot took Slowred and Tim the long, hard way back to the trucks. Yardstick led Jerry and me back the short easy way. I was starving!
