Heres how she sits

here's what I sold to get her.

I've got a ton of plans for the DR. Just ordered the Wolfman Side Racks and have a few pelicans laying around for them. Then I'll be doing the exhaust, intake and carb work, a 5.3 tank, and probably some 606 tires. All comments are welcome.

Thanks to all on the forum for the wealth of info.
That bobber was cool.

Kind of a close up....but still a DR.....

Well, it's home. GPR had my DR for a bit to R&D one of their stabilizers for it. Full disclosure - I approached them about it since I've had a GPR on a bike before and loved it. I did not get the GPR for free but I did receive a discount for loaning the bike. I think the deal was fair and I'm pretty damn happy the GPR is on there.

It uses a collar to locate the post and an under bar mount. They added a cable routing loop for my gas cap overflow tube. With it set on 1, it's not noticeable to me. The GPR is all about fluid transfer and the ports are open enough on 1 that I don't think I can move the bars quickly enough to cause any resistance.

Previously, I used to set mine on 5 or 6 in deep sand washes and ride it like a skateboard/surfboard/snowboard/you get the idea. Weight the right peg to go right...... Front end just stays stable but slowly movable. It helps from getting the front wheel snapped from buried hazards, too.

I used it on rocky roads, too, but on a lower setting. It takes the jolt out of the bars so you don't get 'em ripped out of your hands or have to fight but you can still turn quickly enough.

Here it is. They just took pics of it this morning when I left so I don't know if it's on their site yet. I don't know what pricing will be but if interested, give 'em a call.

Stuck 90 minutes from high tide in an area of 50 foot tides, the highest in the world. The Minas Basin in Nova Scotia, Canada.

I did get the bike out in plenty of time.

So is GPR going to be making a DR-specific one then? I really want a steering stabilizer. Did they have to weld anything to the frame?
