Oh, and it was first bought in Portland OR. When the PO had listed it on CL the original owner called asking if the dip stick was still engraved with his name - and yes it is: "~BILL MULLEN'S BEEMER~"

I second that. Oregon has The Rogue (the Imperial line, especially the Pilsner), Wild River, Astoria Brewing (Bitter Bitch is a killer), and Fort George in Astoria makes a sublime Bourbon Barrel Stout!

It's growing on me though...
I figured i'd move it when I get stuck in some mud on the trans america trail like that lady with the KTM that couldnt move her fender because the brake line went through it

so is the shoe polish paint job. i keep threatening to to try some citrus paint stripper to return it to the lobster red.

everyone says "DON'T DO IT" to me though...they all love the bike the way it is.

I originally wanted red seat and red OURY grips, and eventually re-paint to the white scheme. But now, i'm worried that even the red ourys will look kitchy.

what do you guys think? I cant decide. Probably, doing nothing, is just easier so it's enticing me. If i ever do it, i';; post uner "it's time to do something about that airhead"

me thinks i saw some mighty fine pics here... pic of 2407 floating round here somewheres... just got off her this last week after N.M. purchase, almost ready to go into the kitchen for a wee bit of a makeover, nothing over the top just 'originalizin her a bit'...

pic to follow... livin in a cabin w/o phone or internet makes it hard to keep up with communicatin with y'all...

btw, bought mine to ride (duh) so how many of yous use an oil cooler on these dinosaurs...

I don't currently have an oil cooler on mine, but I've seriously thought about putting one on. Mine was upgraded to 1000cc by the PO and has an oil temp gauge. I regularly see 250F + temps when riding at highway speeds. I,ve heard the 100's runs hotter than the 80's, but one of my riding buddy's says it run hot because it has an oil temp gauge.

Oh, don't change the color, the blue looks better, most of the ones I see are red.
Currently I'm getting the side covers, front fender and a larger tank repainted blue.
