Aftermarket plastics for KTM 640 enduro / 625SXC

Threw the 640 down the road today and I am having a hard time finding aftermarket plastic for her. I was wondering if any one knows any manufacturers of plastics for these bikes as the genuine ones are bloody expensive. I have checked out Acerbis, UFO and polisport plastics to no prevail.
Parts needed are;
Front and back mud guards
both side panels
head light shroud

Lesion learnt for the day don't ride like a dick head when your angry and look out for new work on roads. The total cost of genuine parts that I have been quoted today was $2975.35AUD .Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Josh

Me too

I'm in the same boat - bought a beautiful lc4e and would love to give it a facelift with black plastics.

I think the decimal point might be in the wrong spot. Last time I looked a genuine front guard was around the $70 mark, side panels weren't much more either. Must be a bloody expensive headlight mask
Are you sure you didn't get quoted the price for the adventure with it's tank and front fairings etc?

Have you tried KTMWorld.com and KTM-parts.com? Last time I looked all new plastic for my 2002 LC4e would have cost about $300 USD.

I didn't seem to think putting the new plastic on my 99 640 enduro was too steep. 51 for an oddball color of mask IE Green or black with others available and cheaper (26 for orange and silver I think). Go to ktmcyclehutt.com they are great to deal with. Good luck with aftermarket though. The joys of KTM ownership. Also try ktm-parts.com, of coarse ebay is always an option too.

Happy riding,

You need to go with the standard (non-painted) plastic for a fraction of the price, around $300 for a complete set sounds right, probably even less. Problem is most parts are only available in black, silver and orange.

Talking Hutt!

Thanks for the tips, everyone - looks like KTM Cycle Hutt is the place. I've looked there before, but their navigation is clumsy [there's no category for the 640 LC4, you have to search for everything individually]. Here's what I've come up with:

Shrouds:
http://www.ktmcyclehutt.com/ktmstore...tm_shrouds.htm

Headlight mask:
http://www.ktmcyclehutt.com/ktmstore...ight_masks.htm

Fender:

Silver is cheap

If you're willing to go silver, you can do those four parts for right around $100 - killer deal!

2003 625SXC Plastics

Love to get a set of white plastics, seems no one has them. I think the white plastics with black tank, seat, front fender accent piece, airbox and licence plate area under fender would look great. orange and black looks good too, but I wouldlove white. I know they make some really good plastic paint I might try that on my old fenders. They are not to badly scratched so a good prep job, I might be able to get the look I want.

KTM Hutt or Munn KTM

I just replaced all my plastic with OEM. Was relatively cheap, around $400 I think. Went from a red/black bike to an orange and black bike.

i got mine from admin over at ktmtalk.com

i just went and looked for a link but couldnt see anything. if you put a post in the general forum, they will point you in the correct direction. dont remember but it might cost a few bucks now but is very detailed and worth it. you can also get the OEM maint manuals with the "shop online" button.
