Moto GP racing this afternoon at my house between Barboursville and Ruckersville. Sorry my pool is not opened up yet...next time. Anyone that want's to come by give me a call for directions from the Sheetz in Ruckersville or from 33. We should have a good little group.

Rob @ 540 ...

Hey guys, my name is Adrian and I'm in C'Ville. I've been here since August of last year and haven't found a good group of people to ride with yet. I did a search online for C'Ville riders and found you all so I thought I would introduce myself. I don't have an adventure tourer but I do have a KX450F that I haven't been able to ride once since I got here. Hopefully I can meet up with you all for a ride sometime.

Yo Adrian! (sorry)

Welcome. All kinds of riders and bikes in here. Meet ups at local BBQ joints and rides on all surfaces we have.

Need to get that bad little 450 in the woods...

Keep your ears peeled...

Thanks for the welcome! Please let me know when people are getting together to go trail riding or even just to open it up and slide around for a while on some land. I'm desperately in need of some time on the KX. Thanks.

What up outlaw!

Lot's of good riding around here. Is that 450 street legal? That would help for getting to the good stuff in these parts but some people have also done courses on private land.

California Superbike school? Cool? You might be able to teach us a thing or two.

Sadly it's not, I've been wanting to rewire the stator and get some nice DOT's to put on there for a while, just haven't had the extra coin. I have a truck though and can get the bike anywhere.

I'm sure there's just as much that you all can teach me about offroad riding as I'm still just a noob in the dirt.

All are welcome. I will probably be on my Burgman so paved roads for me. Tons of great dirt in the area though

So that's the 2nd xr1200 I know about in C-ville. Sweet. I thought there was only one--like the Highlander. (Not mine, friend just bought it a few weeks ago.)

Hardy and I are headed to Belmont for some BBQ right now if anyones around, stop by. He's fixing his gearshift lever now after a little incident he had on the KTM spinning out the supermoto tire on a dirt rd in a turn and nicely sliding the bike into a guardrail.

HAHA! H'burg, you've been waiting to use that fine piece of artwork, haven't you?

He was "pre testing" for the NASA asphalt rally he's running this weekend in TN. I was on the scooter and asked if it was ok if we take a dirt rd. We get on it and he starts having fun spinning out the back tire and sliding it around in the turn. I think he forgot that he had the SM tires and he didn't have the kind of digging in grip that eventually take hold during a slide on this type of surface, with the knobbies that are usually on this bike. Witness the end result in these pictures.

notice the nice and shiny scratch free exhaust and intact gear lever.

one of those nice sweeping left handers on a country gravel rd, but with quite a nasty guardrail that Hardy luckily did not run into.

His bike was not so lucky. But made it out quite intact, even the turnsignal survived. Just some character scratches and a broken gearshifter nub.

Time to get it fixed up for the rally.

The fix.
