Lc4 cush drive carrier (2different part #'s)

Hi, can any of you shed any light on my question...

Is there any difference on width on the 2 lc4 carriers between 02 and 03??

02 part#
58310050044 sprocket support cpl

03 part#
58310050144 sprocket support cpl 03

The wheel is universal it seems. I know the 03 and older bike have a different, longer swingarm.

I have a 03 swing arm and a new cush hub that I have ordered the older version and have waited 2 weeks for the wheel and a week for the carrier so far I just hope the width is the same and just maybe different bushings?

question answered

My rally partner cevquit a machinist informed me that the 02 carrier has a very very expensive bearing.

So question answered.

So the answer is either will work, but the older one has a more expensive bearing?

Not really.

It's the same carrier bearing in '02 & '03 - 3205B. It's a double row angular contact bearing. KTM wants $100 for them, but you can get them from a bearing supply house for a fraction of that. It's a fairly common industrial bearing.

I think there's a slight width difference in the cush drive itself. I don't have any more LC4s of I'd measure it up.

You may be right, but I seem to recall there was something different about them.

I was just about to say the exact same thing. Same bearing is used by the old and the new. I bought a used 2001 or 2002 cush wheel off eBay, I forget what I paid for the bearing, $15 or something from a bearing supply house. It's a standard double row.

All I know is that on my 04 SXC the 02 wheel fits but it's a tighter fit than the non-cush.
