Nice. That's two dollars more than I came home with.

I have decided to leave the two dollars in the pocket, so that I can find it again some other day, and have the same experience. Heck, I might even stick a 5 in there as well.

Waterproof pockets are over rated. The outer breast pocket on my Darien is waterproof, which I confirmed when I got home from a wet ride and found that my cell phone was sitting in a pocket full of water.

Kind of worked like this:

Yeah I don't trust them. Waterproof pockets are bollocks. When it starts chucking it down the cell phone and wallet go in ziplocs and then in the tank bag. Not worth screwing around.

+1 on cell phone in a ziploc, as well as camera and garage remotes.

In fact, someone needs to make a person sized ziplock bag, dammit.

With a breathing snorkel, obviously. Duh!

I've been thinking I might brew some more beer this winter. I haven't done any for a while. I somewhat miss it.

I think many of my friends should homebrew beer, so that I have many varieties to sample without having to go thru the effort myself. To that end, I applaud your homebrewing aspirations and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

In wet-crotch news, I have just washed my riding suit and sprayed it with ReviveX before putting it in the dryer. We shall see if that solves my water issues. 14 bucks at Hoigaards for a fairly small bottle, I used half of it.

If the forecast is correct, I'll have a report on its effectiveness after the Lanesboro trip.

Until someone learns how to make the crotchal area properly, without EZ leak seams, the crotch will leak, no matter what you spray on it.

I am considering Barley Wine. The boil, which uses about a million pounds of malt, is most exciting. It REALLY wants to boil over.

And the primary fermentation.......hoooooooooo boy. Lively!

We've had some discussion about brewing beer at the shop. I gave up doing it at home about a decade ago because it was a pita in our house. Lots-o-room at the shop though...

It would be a very good place for that, that is true.

HVAC guy is coming to quote on putting heat in at my shop tomorrow. Yay!

Are you sure you want any sort of heat source near the bikes, Sir Burnsalot?

This coming from Count Bursts into Flames.......

Speaking of waterproof pockets, the side pockets on the Belstafff do fine in the rain, as long as the flap goes over the opening, and not tucked into the pocket....I have my phone in there when riding, I would hate to have a get off and have to extricate my phone from the tank bag, and then remove it from a ziplock bag with a gaping chest wound, or a broken clavicle, or a hangnail......actually, I would hate to do anything with a broken clavicle

Well, the shop will be no bloody use without heat, so given recent events I plan to leave the gas tanks of any motorcycles being worked on out in the uninsualted portion of the shed, although I really don't think it will matter.

That took far too long to change those tyres.

Must do better.

Must get shop finished and refurb and install tyre changer, in fact.
