Anyone who thinks all-wheel drive is a necessity for winter driving but pays no mind to tires should take a ride in my WRX today.

My tire shop always advises winter tires from Halloween to Easter and every year I think Halloween is too early. Now where's that facepalm smilie?

I brought my snow tires and wheels home on Friday night. I was gonna be ready, dammit.

Never did get around to mounting them though.

I have never used snow tyres on my truck before. However, I notice that the time is nigh for new tyres anyway. More money.

Didn't have issues today, but it's time to put the sandbags in the back and also put that brush / scraper thing in there. I'm glad it stopped snowing because I left the bloody thing on its hook in the garage today.

Facepalm.

See? We need a facepalm smiley.

Get a spare set of wheels with winter tires/tyres/tars on 'em and you can maximize the life of your summer rubber instead of tossing them just 'cause they are iffy for winter use. Snows are a must for my 2wd Chevy sled.

Why didn't you think of that before?

Even more money.

I admit the gooderness of your idea though, but money is tight right now, while I wait to see what happens. If things work out I may yet move on the idea that you outline here. Or maybe I'll just get winter tars now and buy a new set of wheels in spring. Or summat.

You have made sure that CB750 runs before you go to all the trouble of attaching a sidecar to it right?

What can possibly go wrong?

If that doesn't run, there's always the FJ1200.

And if that doesn't run there's always beer. So....I think everything will be alright.

Mine doesn't, it is a problem easily remedied by cleaning the carbs thoroughly, and then never ever putting gasoline in them ever again.
