Never-ending hilarity. Edit: But lately the non-stop gunz, gunz, gunz has been a little off-putting. I'll build up a head of steam and storm back in there in a day or two.

That whole forum should be shut down and deleted.

![]() Then it would seep out into every other subforum. Look how many posts end up in the head explody 'csm crap from people couldn't keep it in csm'. some folks just can't help themselves. This way it is all in one place, out of the way, and most importantly, not available unless you register and log in. My $0.02 |

Having a few beverages now, after a rather splendid day in the shoppe. I'd get a lot more done, but I have reached that stage in life where a lot of time is spent looking for the tool I put down just a moment ago. I still haven't found the cap to the dielectric grease. ![]() It's somewhere in the chassis of the ZX1100, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

We had exactly the same thing on the Triumph forum, and I shut the fecker down. The people who only post in that sub forum pissed off (no loss) everyone else stopped hating each other because they happen to vote for different people. Any time a political thread crops up, you delete it. Easy peasy. People soon get the idea. We had more seepage of CS and M wank WITH the forum in place than when we deleted it. That is why you have so many head explody threads over these subjects in the other forums. Still, there you are, that's just my view. I do not expect CS and M to go away, but we'd be better off without it. That said, I have a choice of not going there, and that is what I do. Don't do. Whatever, I don't go in there.

Probably. I still didn't find the cap to the dielectric grease, but I did a shitload of work to the ZX1100 today. Hopefully cured two oil leaks. WTF the assembler was thinking is beyond me. I found a long, thin shard of aluminum wrapped around an O ring on an oilway plug. The shard was actually spiral wrapped around the O ring and cutting into it. Hence leak.
![]() Still, that's sorted, and the swingarm and suspension linkages - not to mention countershaft sprocket and surrounding area - have not been this clean since the bike left the factory. In other news, Plews brand grease guns are no good for anything except building up excess pressure in the delivery hose, and then shooting long, thin strands of grease across the shop when the grease gun is removed from the nipple. Or zerk, to you American types. ![]() I swear I have used more grease trying to get this POS grease gun to actually work than I have managed to get into the swingarm linkages. I am going to throw it out. TLDR

I just wandered down the hill to my shop to confirm my new still in package grease gun was not that brand.
![]() Reading the fine print, it is still a re-branded Chinese product. On another note: Tonight is the first time I have seen the temp drop below freezing in my new to me shop/storage garage. Hope to install a natural gas furnace in 13. |

Awesome!
Especially the grease gun bit. EDIT: when do we get to come and drink beer in the shop?
