Woohoo... Rode the bike yesterday in the warm weather. Went well until I tried or navigate an alley, supersport tires don't do well on ice.

First World Problems

I drove all the way down to Cabela's only to find they were closed for inventory.

Kay, should of rode. Driving makes it a frustrating situation but a ride is wealth every mile(winter just adds excitement).

I would have been miserable. I have Raynaud's Syndrome, where the circulation to my hands and feet cut off really easily.

There has been a dearth of pie baking, what with the holiday tradition of brittle shitty cookies and whatnot.

I foresee a blitz over the coming days. I had frozen some pumpkin at thanksgiving, and while there isn't much for fruit this time of year, a banana creme can be rather lovely with a chocolate stout.

Fuck you, January. I'll eat pie and drink until you succumb to the longer days of February.

I had hoped to sneak in a quick motorcycle ride on my afternoon off. As my bike was warming up I was walking around it kicking the tires etc. Hmm, what is that pool forming in my skid plate? Looked too thin to be oil. Not green enough to be coolant. Sniff, Yep that's gasoline! Great there's gasoline pouring down my running engine... Guess I will pull the fairing off rather than go for a ride.

After propping the tank up, I'm not sure what the problem was. All I can see is that the tank vent line may have been pinched. Running it with the tank propped up a few inches there was no more leak. I will have to investigate it further this weekend.

Glad I noticed this issue before going on a ride.

My 2nd one this season kicked my ass. It's clearing out though.

Hopefully I can make the show this weekend.

We might be staying home. Bon Bon is sick again and I do not want to spread it around. I cannot believe they let her at work.

I haven't met a manager yet who will send home someone who is sick. It remains the whim of the employee whether or not they want to go in and infect their coworkers. If the management took a moment to consider the financial ramifications of this policy, I think they change their tune, and any pandemic flu planning I've seen agrees. Why it takes a "pandemic" to put the policy into practice is beyond me. Personally, I'm tired of walking dead coworkers bringing their micro-biotic bounty into the workplace.
