standard pie pastry. I considered an egg wash, but I've never been one to prefer a bright sheen to the crust.

First savory pie I've ever baked, we'll see how it turns out and go from there.

Not a problem just an observation. Signed into a forum that has a picture of a motorcycle and the moniker "Ride the World" I wasn't expecting discussion to use egg wash on pastry. It was early in the morning I guess I was a little close minded.
I know it has been cold and not much motorcycle stuff going on so a guess this only to be expected.

I see food and motorcycles as two main ingredients in life, to be closely coupled whenever possible.

Like riding for pie, for example.

I was going to change the oil in my Bonneville forks today, but have decided to wait a few days, until my fork oil level tool arrives. Couldn't be bothered to make one, as they are only 17 bucks.

There you are, some motorcycle chat.

In other news, with my tax refund in, I'll be putting tyres on the KLR 650 and Tiger at the end of the month. With March approaching, spring is on the way, and I can almost smell the pie at the Delta Diner. Mmmmmmm.

Fazer dismemberment day has arrived.

I'm off to the garage to lose various nuts and bolts and hopefully end up with a tire and forks in the trunk of my car. Should be good times.

Going over to Belle Plaine to put the final touches on the PopCycle derby I will be at the Bowling Alley at noon for lunch if anybody is interested. It is OK food and sometimes they have home made pie.

I know Prop is not in to the wintering riding stuff but if there are others please consider giving it a try.

I have done the winter riding thing before. No interest this year though. In the UK I never had a car. Had to ride all year round - but they don't get the winters we get here. Even so I threw the bike down the road on ice a couple of times. That gets a bit old.

Pop cycle looks fun, but I have other plans next weekend. Have fun though!
