Whats this pie everyone speaks about. I feel like I have been missing out on some good grub especially if riding there is involved!

I'll be grinding deer, elk, and hog this weekend so I don't have to have another productive weekend of drinking beer and pacing back n'forth in the garage staring at the bike then the snow then the bike....not that I do that or anything.... lol

We know of both. Oh yes.

Natural is nicer, but artificial is easier to stuff and get uniform lengths of consistent density.

This is just my opinion of course.

I agree, I go with natural myself. Fighting it for one day when you make enough for a year pays off every time you open up that white freezer wrap!

What kind of neanderthal kills animals for food?

Don't you know Cub has that all per-wrapped and USDA approved.

haha I worked at Cub in Blaine while in high school 06-09 I saw how that meat is packaged and prepped no thanks!

In a cryovac seal (vacuum sealed) the meat is purple but as soon as it comes in contact with oxygen it turn ruby red in less then a minute! The worst was the smell. It could also be shelved for two months in that cryovac wrap before we touched it.

Thats just the meat Cub would cut and put on the foam trays in saran wrap. The prepackaged crap was even worse!

I try to eat as little as possible of store bought meat. I hunt from September to Christmas to fill the freezers.

I'll have you know that my sausage has received critical acclaim.

By which I mean, people are quite critical of it.

If one of our hunting partners has some we use that otherwise a farmer. In desperate times we break down an go get it from a store.

Usually just side port (fat) to make the elk or deer meat have around 30% pork to give it some fat. We are very picky on cleaning the tallow off our game meet so we need some fat to make it a better all around ground meat for meals.

I prefer archery over rifle and day. I shoot rifle out to 500yrds on a 12"x12" with ease so bow and arrow is a great challenge! Rifle season I like to only bring out a 6" 357mag with my hand loads to make it harder otherwise field sits I'm using my 308 with hand loads out to 300-400yrds. on deer. Elk hunting takes part in Colorado.

I prefer motorcycling over all of that. But then I am a bit weird.
