Got the carbs back on this feckin bike, and now one of them is pissing fuel all over the place. So now I have to take them off again......

Not as far as I can tell. Anyway, bored with these now. Best I put them down for a bit or I'm going to hurl them across the yard. Progress has been made in that the troublesome air screw is out and replaced.

Now I have to call my good buddy who is storing a tire changer for me.......

KZ650 is fixt. Fuel leak must have been crud on the valve seat. Didn't really find anything, but after taking apart and cleaning and inspecting, and reassembling, all is well. The jet changes have made the bike run gooder, so all I have to do is get the idle right, and balance the carbs and that is my share of the work done, and hopefully my buddy can come and get it this week.

Yay!

Smalleys? Yaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr!

Question for all.

Has anyone drove the State Line road between Minnesota/Iowa border(believe it's gravel)?

I ran 1.7 miles of it recently, where I was it was gravel. That particular road is on my "todo" list

On mapsource it looks to be about 79 miles long

state line rd

Looks interesting and what to do it but wondering about maintenance conditions. I have been exploring gravel road more and saw that was there. 79 miles of gravel would be nice.

That's part of the fun of gravel roads, that freshly maintained powdery stuff can give ya thrill.

Anyhoo, there's about 120miles of gravel here: http://www.getbent.net/gps/05232010-CarverCoGrit3.gpx

This one is a nice day ride as well:

I rode part of it once. I vaguely remember that it was pleasing.

Sorry, I was busy partying like a rock star with my niece for her first birthday.

And prop, I didn't dress like a hipster. More like a squid.

Thumb

I rode the full length of it on a return trip from... I dunno, somewhere SW. I remember riding some asphalt as I came across, but I'm not 100% sure if I was on SLR at the time I was on gravel. All in all, nice road & nice part of the country.
