After seeing those pictures Orange is not SO bad. I could learn to live with it. It just makes me think of KTM when I see it.
At least then I could get this helmet to match! ![]() |

I've got my white F800GS on order at my BMW dealer and I'm supposed to be the first on the list but I was also the guy that had the 09 yellow one on hold until, oops, I showed up expecting it to be there!
I talked about this thread with the service rep and he estimated a $1,000 dollars to do whatever I want with out going crazy with the color scheme. That includes the painting and labor and the biggest labor cost is if I want the gas tank pulled off to be painted which I do. They can also include the price of this in the "official sell price" if you want to finance it and do it before you take delivery of the bike. |

Orange
I picked up an orange one this weekend. I like it a lot. The orange is metallic and changes colors slightly depending on the light. They had a white one waiting to get picked up and I liked that one surprisingly more than I thought I would. Both colors are better than last year which I thought was great.

![]() ![]() First time for me off of asphalt. Rocky Mtn National Park's Old Fall River Road. Lots of fun except for the dust kicked up by the cages. The switchbacks had a lot of loose sand but the bike handled it with no problems.

Digging on the dark green one. Has anyone gone out for a ballpark quote on getting the panels painted?

Mine was originally shipped yellow. I wanted grey but was going to have to wait 2 extra months. I painted it charcoal:
![]() Now I'm bored again. The bike is 90% sanded again and ready for a new color. I like orange but not the BMW shade, I'd like more of a KTM colour. Maybe a Kawasaki lime green? Can someone with photochop skills whip that one up for me? |

How are you painting GNP? Rattle can? Paint gun? How long does R&R of the panels take?
