Taking some rest

After some stressing minutes riding among the peasants, we got to the point where the "bad" or slow road ended.

This picture was taken at Estacion Catorce, where is a cargo train station.

If you have some form of plastic/plex windshield or screen put it where it will not obstruct your vision. If not , carry it with you and when u reach the checkpoin show it to the official. i do not have a windscreen
so usually make a square piece out of a clear grinder shield or soda pop bottle and stick the sticker to it then pop rivet it to my front headlight/number plate so it can be seen.

See you in Galeana.

Why we did 12 hours from Real de Catorce to Reynosa??

We left Real de Catorce around noon, and arrived to reynosa at 1:00 am !!
well, first, a big group is always slower and we were 14 bikes.

It sounds like cabalistic number ! 14 bikes at Real de Catorce
(fourteen bikes at real of Fourteen) cool.

so here are some of the reasons.

Flat tires !!!
Here is Farid's first flat tire at Estacion Vanegas (right about 20 km from real de catorce)

He fixed and we fleet again...
but not too far. After 4 or 5 miles, the fix did not worked.
We lost Eye contact and knew the tire was giving problems, so we, the two guys ahead, took a little rest waiting for the others

still waiting

Finally we made good progress on the road

but later here we are doing other waiting time (right out of Linares) for a stop for something else... like peeing? or making phone calls?

Well, we decided to have dinner (we skipped lunch!) at Linares and after finished, we realized that Jesus had again problems with his first flat tire, so was fixed but right out of the town another fix was needed. that was it and finally we rode with no more stops.

Thanks, Arte. The pics are great.

I usually cross at the Pharr crossing. Reynosa confuses me.

I got turned around there last winter coming north and spent about two hours trying to get back to the Pharr bridge.
