[QUOTE=cynna;15130510]

has anyone hasd touble with there tenere dying after a water crossing. it would start and idle but die as soon as the throttle was touched. the airbox appeared to be dry and got the bike going again after draining the carb

I did read a fix for this in this thread or other relevent thread. it was something about filling the backside of a plug or two under the seat to make them water proof. Ya mite havta do some reading.

Just curious, does the 660 Tenere motor have anything in common with the motor in the old 660 quads (Grizzly and Raptor)? Thanks.

The old 660 Tenere has the 5valve engine, so yes, same engine as Grizzly and Raptor.

Hi guys,

I am from Turkiye. I love old Tenere's and i have a 1987 model XT 600 Z 1VJ. Original 45.000km on the clock. I'm not riding this bike for 10 years.

Also i have a 88 model XT 600 Z 3AJ riding every week onroad and offroad.

This is my Tenere 1VJ. All parts are original. Never use at off road.
