Hunter Mountain, NY Catsliss region Tracks needed
Hi,
I'm visiting the Hunter Mountain / Windham Catskills Region this weekend. Does anyone have some dirt road (trails or single track) tracks that they can recommend or share? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

If you find the Devil's Tombstone you'll be in the midst of some great roads! There's a snowmobile shop in Wyndamn, across from it is a quarry where you'll find some trails, behind the shop there's trails that leads up the mountain, the shop is up the road from an Italian restaurant. Sorry, that's all I can remember after 20 years.. Chris, email me for some routes I have..

Ridin Hunter
I ride alot on the backside of Hunter Mt. Its steep and pretty muddy now, but still geat ridin on logging roads and some small field tracts. Most of the dirt roads are pretty rough, woods trails and rocks. Give me a call I will show some if you get up here.

Start by come'n up thru Bear Mtn,and Storm King! I'd have to do some patch work to get ya a Trac. But if you just pull up those RT's on Mapsource you can put together a great street ride. Last year the Barber did a ride at 3pm on Saterday.I did the BMW ride up the Mtn,it was a good time, but no real dirt time. This year we'll be going with the barber.Everyone that went last year said it was top notch. And i guess if ya stop in to shot the shit,he'll break down some good trails for you if you want to do a selfguided tour.

I am bumping this thread back up for the same event in 2011.
I'll be on my F800GS. I rode up the mountain last year, but spent my time on asphalt after running into posted private lands. No map. Just found the thread in the regional forum, but no routes or maps. Anyone have (1) off pavement routes in the Hunter area, and (2) a Catskills GPS compatible topo map? I've downloaded two of CannonsvilleRider's routes in the western end of the park, but routes around Hunter would be great! Is CR6 a dead end going east, or is there a way out to NY214 or NY23A?
