I will add the frame numbers here, pictures will come later as I never photographed them before taking them apart. HPN is shipping the one frame in the next few days and then I will have it up and running in a short time again. It will look like a GS when done fitted with WP forks in the front with the swing-arm extended with 100mm and another WP rear shock as well. |

i am living in buenos aires, argentina, but traveling a lot. no bike here yet. need to figure out how to get one down here from SD, as the prices here would blow your mind. i am pretty sure i can ship an airhead gs here, ride it for a couple of years, and sell it for a profit before i leave. just need to find someone to help me with the import process now that i have my residence paperwork.
glad to see you are making good use of both the st and your location. fantastic pictures. i may be back for a weekend in a couple of weeks. if so, i'll send you a PM and see if you're up for a ride. best regards, pat ryan |

'84 ST in NorCal
Thanks Renner for pointing me to the ST registry...
I'll post an engine number for later when I get home. For now, let me introduce you to Stella, an 84 ST with a few changes. Before I got her, Stella was a daily rider from the SoCal deserts. Fenders, Paint and tank were sun-faded, dinged and dented and mostly crap. While I still have all the original silver trim. It came with an equally ratty but undented R65 Tank, that with Ebay aquired front and rear fenders all lovingly rattlecanned (It can be done with fair results) gloss black. I also still have all the racks/etc but have stripped her down to bare-bones. I have an RT and a sidecar if I want to ride distance or pack bags. Stella is my solo rider and I have to say... The most damn fun bike I have owned. Here is a before and after pic.

looks good Danomoon, like what you've done with the tail group/rear fender.
Thinking of changing something there myself. |

The mounts are mostly there...
The signal mounts are actually there... the brake light bucket only took two home-made brackets. I chopped a cheap Ebay fender and jut drilled holes for the plate mount. The only.. ahem... slight problem is the license plate ain't lit... Shhh don't tell anyone.

3rd Owner. Just over 36k on it. Last owner had the bike for 4 years and put under 5k on it. He got the bike from his cousin who bought it new. Red and looks to be original. Has seen some use but kept up pretty well. This is one tough truck! |
