URGENT! Question on Garmin Unlock codes

Hi - I'm new to all this Garmin unlock codes BS. Question is this: Does Metroguide v6 North America require an unlock code? And if so, will it work on my Garmin 176 with data card? Thanks in advance for helping with this question QUICKLY!

The urgency is that I'm leaving on a trip and need to order the software tonight. I realize it's been discontinued by Garmin, but there is one place which has one last copy in stock. If in fact it does not require unlock codes, I will go ahead and order it. I don't want any part of this whole unlocking thing.

Called 'em

Garmin claims it doesn't use unlock codes, so I went ahead and ordered it. I hope they're right. I'll have this for years to come if that's the case. Screw Garmin and they're greedy policies.

You may be complaining about their "greedy policies", but they *are* really good at customer service. There are plenty of other GPS companies out there- Garmin is on top for a reason.

You're showing your stupidity.
