The husky has 8500 miles on her and is a higher maintenance bike. It has been the best do it all bike for me and I really like its power. Most of the riding we do is gravel around here so wanting to get a WR for trips out west and rougher rides and then another bike like a Terra for overall cruisen around.

I am hoping KTM does something special with Husky. A TE with the Terra motor and stronger subframe would be the ticket. Or a 450 WRR Yamaha!

I Yamaha made a WR450R in the same idea as the WR250R, I'd buy one from the dealer.

Last I read from Yamaha they have no interest in a 450R build.

I am throughly happy with my 250R, but it does not receive as much ride time as the Tenere.

The Japs are getting out of the US market. They are gonna start making 100CC scooters for emerging markets. You will all be forced to ride Eurotrash.

Not really riding it. It seems I have to neuter a certain switch before I can ride it again.

I've only rode Eurotrash for years now. The Japs can't seem to figure out how to make a good motorcycle anymore.

Bike options...

With so many good options out there, I don't know how guys narrow them down. I like the idea of these newer 800 cc middleweight type bikes from BMW, and Triumph, but price point can be a little harsh, and you still have issues with where you should take them for service or major repair if you can't do it yourself. I have had a couple older KLR's and an older yamaha xt 600. all capable mounts as long as your not planning on catching any major air. The KLR's seem like they have a rep for running forever with minimal maintenance, but they are no speed demon. The old xt seemd to run like a scalded dog. How ever that bike isn't in production anymore hear in the states as far as I know. I think any one of the Jap builders and KTM in the 600-650 class dual sport mounts would probably be a good ride. Just My Opinion.
