I just bought a house. Right down the street from William. And Bege financed me. I don't think I will ever know his real name. So blame him for me staying around, damn bakers.

Looks like I will be bleeding cash for the next few months. No 990 money left.

Can I still do a demo ride?

Shelby did not fall in love with it? I would figure a trip to AK and back, they would have bonded.

I have to make a post in here just to brag. Living in San Diego now. I was going to buy a ktm 990, ended up getting a 800xc, and then traded the tiger and my monster 1100 in on a '13 multistrada a month later.

Well, enjoy the weather, year round riding season, and the beach... Don't take it for granted. I believe I was taking my So Cal lifestyle for granted, figuring I'd go on until I retired in 10-15 years... Then, without warning, I was let go and the nuclear power plant I worked for permanently closed. I'm now back in Cent IL, California dreaming, looking for work back in the golden state. With my skill set, even with 28 years experience (but no college degree), it's slim pickins to find a job even close to 1/2 what I used to make per hour. I don't mind downsizing, but this job market sucks!

Thank you for your service... I too was in Uncle Sam's Canoe Club, but before it was fashionable to serve (I got out in 1990, just before Operation: Desert Shield started)... I was a west coaster too, stationed on USS Nimitz when it was home ported in Bremerton, WA...

I'm sure you know this but Diablo Canyon is still running. The central coast is at least as good as San Diego, and eleventy billion times better than Socal as a whole.

yes, I do know that, so do the rest of the displaced workers from San Onofre... I'm currently looking at oil refineries, chemical plants, and non-nuclear power plants for operator positions. Frankly, I don't care where in California I live, I just want to go back...

We've had an amazing 2 week trip in Colorado and Utah following bits and pieces of the CAM1000, COBDR, UTBDR, and featured gravel roads by Butler Maps. [Lands End Rd, CO]

We surfed the sand of Utah.. And rode the black diamond road [La Sal Loop Rd]

Got dirty in Gateway...

Headed for the hills...

Did some rock climbing... Too many passes to remember..

Kicked more dirt...

Had good company...

Did some camping...

And now that we're back...

I can't wait for my next adventure!

I have about 10,500 on the Heidenaus and they did an excellent job on each surface. I love them! But I prefer keeping the air lower in the front tire to keep it from bouncing on me.

Good report! You should put one in the ride report section for more to see. It kind of goes with canonshot's Bashing Big Bikes report.
