That track was pretty rough for those short suspended bikes.

I love those crazy Brits, they're fucking nuts.

Hope to ride there some day.

I suspect Gary has a secret deposit on one of these already...

So I went on craigslist a few weeks back, just for fun.

The next day I dragged home a 78 Yamaha DT175 that was used as a parts bike for another DT. But, it supposedly ran and had a clean street title so I paid the kid selling it a kingly sum of two hundred dollareedoos.

Kid couldn't start it for me, but I bought it anyway. Got it home, 2nd or 3rd kick it fired up even without the exhaust or intake, haha.

Some eBay buying and raiding my spare parts bins, and it is a running and roadlegal silliness machine. It's got my husky's stock headlight, an upside down dr350 clutch lever as the front brake, some vintage Suzuki mirror, and a random assortment of bolts robbed from Mellephants' parted out SVT focus.

Behold!

Pretty sure I had that same bike in green. Mine was a one two five though. I hadn't fully blossomed into being BigBore in 78. I was still a youngster.

Nice find.

And as a ginger kid, he has no soul "ref: Cartman" so that part fits!

IIRC that bike would top out at about 55 MPH with my then not so fat ass on it.

Webco frame, Ashtabula crank, stem, and fork, motomags. That would of been my ride at 12 years old. Or a homemade Schwimm BMX bike.

I was never a ginger kid. And even though I was not quite BBF at 12, I still had a big personality and a lot of charisma.
