My son beat me for the first time in two sections, in the grand scheme of things that is in itself very cool. I'm "super pumped" he enjoys dirt bikes. And has the skills to do so relatively safely.
After the race told him if I ever mention racing there again to punch me in the face.
I never wanna see another rock again.
It was tough! Wasn't much single track though ..... It was single rut!
That's what I get for starting row 76 and being slow.
TMM did a hell of a job. and looked fresh at the end. I was worn out ... made the wife drive me home.

You are too kind gary. Looks can be deceiving.

I RODE my fifty miles but glad I didn't have to do the waterfall.

Flat river brick to the hip left a marks.

Only one question pilot, how far did you follow that course worker that was pulling logs out of the trail.

I think it hurt your time!!!!!!

Helluva job, good to see you again.

Yeah, there were a couple of things that hurt my time ..... öut of shape, and out of shape.
I still don't know where I missed the check. I counted all 8 but was only registered on 7. I did notice however that there was one of them that when I went my didn't display my transponder. Oh well, I was just proud that I finished.
I didn't have any serious "get-offs" but I'm sure sore from keeping it upright for 43 miles.
I won't be doing that again ............till next year

Yup, given it's location in east central IL it really isn't too bad. Some easy stuff, some stuff a bit harder, one gnarly hill (river hill). I think there are some bad videos from us riding it last year in here.

I would ride Tilton sometime this week after work, or next week after work

Either DS over there on the DR or load up the van with yzingers... also we ought to be cutting some trails and maybe building some jumps or setting up some weird endurocross stuff at my brother's house (near Moon Glo) this week and next.

I rode Tilton, once. I'd rather stay home and weed my yard. Just a big quad park IMO.

Now GQ and Smelly, being young and dumb, they'll ride anywhere. I would too at that age. I used to practice at the city dump.

But alas I am old, fat, and a bit of snob these days.

Had a rough time at the IXCR/WIXC Baker's Camp race yesterday. Lots of wrecks, went over the bars on a nasty downhill. Time for a new helmet and some new handlebars. Also lost a triple-clamp bolt???

Hopefully I'll get to the video soon for everyone's enjoyment.

Also, good hangin' with Chickengrease and Rob (bob? robert? bill? frank? it was rob, right?).[/QUOTE]

Very good hanging out. Here's an image of my tired ass' heart rate for the 2+ hours. Resting HR <60 mind you..riding a bike is hard work apparently.
(Had it right 1st time=Rob)

Nice to meet (or see you again?) GreasyChicken, you were my hero with the medical tape. I found mine when loading up, of course.

I got 15th out of 51 in C Lites, about 50% overall, good enough for another plaque

I even made the blooper reel... looped er out to show off for the camera on lap 3 of 5, the other laps were uneventful. I also stopped to take a leak and hang with GQ on lap #3. I suppose I should try to avoid having laps like lap #3

Excellent ghost ride! And we discussed this tactic/skill at the line, nicely done. In reference to my sucky previous post with the tiny image(obviously my interweb skills are lacking): it shows a heart rate above 180 for over two hours. That's what you call a cardio workout.

For Christ's sake rotate them Barkbuster's up so they are horizontal with the ground, otherwise EVERY time you hit a sapling it's gonna pickup yer front end and send you off line.
Your levers can be down to keep your elbows up (that's good), BUT NOT your barkbusters (that's bad).
Sweet vid BUT painful to watch with incorrect barkbuster placement.
Sorry
Had to vent.
