Your levers can be down to keep your elbows up (that's good), BUT NOT your barkbusters (that's bad).
Sweet vid BUT painful to watch with incorrect barkbuster placement.
Sorry
Had to vent.

Interesting point, I didn't think of it like that. My thinking was "still keeps trees off my fingers and protects the levers when the bars are at full lock on the ground" haha, but your reasoning makes sense. With them down, hitting something is less of a direct backwards force but more of a downward and backward force. I'll look into fixing that today.

I chop an inch and a half off each bar for clearance, weird maybe at first, but I got used to it. Lots of fun watching movie, words can't describe that stuff, nice job.

+1 , sorry for not noticing your bike was set this way GQ. Probably part of why you kept crashing when you hit trees today, but I was just sorta bouncing off them

I had done the same thing until BBF set me straight

Smelly, why'd you leave Basil the Russian hanging like that? I thought y'all were Bros?

We had a similar discussion when we got our yzingers and chose to let the other do their own thing. Thinking about it more it sure makes sense why riding through branches was so tough haha

Yes, Bros, but stubborn Bros who both love to learn the hard way. Hell, my real brother ran me over yesterday with his CRF , made me bleed my own blood!!

^^ I keep them in my gear-bag. Great for sweat under the goggles.

I also carry wet wipes in my backpack. And a dab of Vaseline in the crack pre-ride keeps the bung hole happy. Just no double dipping.

??????

my guess is your maxi pads are stale by now.

your wet ones are dry.

and your Vaseline is out of date unless you're using it for other stuff also.

Out for a ride today, ran across a little taco shop off of hwy 18 in Henry, run by a very nice, very not-Mexican lady. I recommend the fish tacos.

Planning to ride DR350 over to my brother's property near the Moon Glo in Danville tomorrow around noon. Then will be riding woods on YZ250 while there, and then riding back on DR350 around 4.

Any are welcome to tag along. You can try the YZ if you like. It is a plus if you also enjoy chainsaws and making new trails and hillclimbs
