also check the fluid levels in the battery. If they're low you can refill it... or just buy a new battery. Advanced Auto here in town tends to have some more common motorcycle stuff a lot cheaper and usually in stock. I can always count on them for things like plugs, batteries, plug wires, anything that fits more than one bike.

Batteries

Check Interstate Battery. They can get almost any battery. And at a resonable coin.

Thanks for the ideas on where to get a battery. I called around and even looked at Advance Auto Parts. Everywhere I called that had them in stock wanted more than I am willing to pay. One price was $260! I'll just wait for the UPS delivery, probably on Monday or Tuesday.

If you guys think you can slow down enough so I can at least still see your dust on an XT225, I'll join you on Sunday.

Also, Does this mean there is no ride on Tuesday?

ADVRIDERs at Illini - OSU Game?

Anybody interested in going to the Illinois - Ohio State football game Saturday?

I've got 4 tickets. I was going to blow it off, but maybe I'll trailer down with my WeeStrom Saturday morning, go to the game, then join your ride Sunday. I would be happy to share the tickets with any of you guys who would like to go - tickets are on me. I have 3 tickets with nobodies name on them.

How about it - any football fans out there?

I called them and they told me it'd be $108. Maybe I should have looked at their whole site and found the part number myself. I kinda also wanted something other than the stock battery. I found one a bit cheaper shipped that should be a little bit more powerful (more CCA & AH).

Luckily I have a couple other bikes in the garage to ride while I wait.

well it's probably 108 for them to do it. Labor adds a lot.

Going to the game already...

Rooting for the home team but afraid it's going to be like watching a one legged man in an ass kickin' contest!

If the weather permits (not raining) I will see you guys at the Mahomet McDonalds at 10AM. Warning , I am slow!
