Nutmeg state Tag-O-Rama

Okay let's kick his thang off....mmkay

Rules are easy...

Find the tag and reproduce the photo (as best as possible). Take the tag to a new location, get the photo and post it here. Give a few hints so the next person can figure out where the tag is located.Make the clues clear and easiiy understood.
- Try to place the tags in interesting locations, maybe a bit of history that can be found down some nice twisties.
Tag must be: a) findable & b) not placed on a dirt road.
- Maintained gravel is OK, but make sure to let folks know that gravel is required to get to your tag. We don't want to exclude those who don't like to get dirty.
The first person to post a found tag gets to place the next tag. If you get a tag, but somebody else posts their picture first, you lose.
One tag at a time. File photos are NOT permitted. You gotta ride to play this game.
Tags from other states are fair game as long as you re-tag within the same state, post on that states thread. and cross post here to motivate the masses. (Be civil ppl)
No whining There are plenty of folks here that will help you understand the rules
The holder of the tag determines if the tag has been duplicated and acknowledges it by posting on the thread. (Surrendering the Tag)

Remember, you gotta be quick. Don't make the clues difficult, because it will come back and bite you in the arse. Also, bring your "A" game cause someone will have a tag and post another while you're thinking about eating breakfast.

just cause i ride a harley and work at a harley dealer doesn't mean i am a harley rider. Its my only scoot right now. i like to get dirty, you should see my bike close up. ill go anywhere within reason of course.

What a cool spot and with a day like today I couldn’t pass up riding to work and stopping for the photo. I have been watching the other Tag-O-Rama threads and thinking it would be cool for us CT riders to have our own. Thanks for getting us started. I’ll hurry up and post a new spot tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Now for a little history

Stevenson Dam sits between Lake Zoar and the Housatonic River. Erected by the Connecticut Light and Power Company to provide water power for generating electricity by hydraulic turbines.

The maximum base width is 81 feet, maximum height to crest elevation is 122 feet, and its length is 1213 feet. It backs up a pond having, at crest elevation, a length of approximately 10 miles. It took two years to build and was completed on Nov. 24, 1919. The Power-house is located at the Monroe side and has an output capability of 28,750 kilowatts.

I really thought that my hint was too easy when I typed it :) I hope someone got this tag today because it was their last weekend of the season. Now you'll just have to enjoy the ride along the lake up to New Milford ;)

Since this is the regional forum I wanted to add that I rode to Bash Bish Falls state park Saturday in Mass and Rhinebeck NY today and they were both great rides. Hope everyone got out this weekend because there's not going to be a lot more like this.
