Ran a week ago so I suspect ice in the tank valve or carb.??
Or maybe it was the cork in the muffler/exhaust (you know, to keep out the mice and therefore the "roasted Chestnuts". The bikes not the only thing that gets rusty in the wintertime.

Like A Stalker

Just picking up what you're laying down A.J.

A quick fifty mile trip today, brisk but awesome conditions for February

Old Tag Tunxis Trail Sign Rt 202 New Hartford

New Tag

This bridge is so new they haven't got the date on it yet. It's directly over a waterfall and has a cool gorge below but it's all marked No Trespass And No Parking, Really neat to check out after heavy rainfall. This Bridge replaced an old narrow green steel bridge- It should have been colored "SILVER". Good Luck

Nice grab! Did you venture down the dirt road at my tag? There are a bunch of legal state park roads through there.

I didn't today but I have in the past, I only had a short window of opportunity to get some riding in midday.
While it's nice to have something close it's not nearly enough dirt rd when you consider how much more land MDC has locked up in the surrounding areas, sucks to see all the gates and signs...

yeah, I spent a bout 15 mins searching "silver" in google maps (street, road, lane, etc), looking for roads that crossed water. Then found it, just after I posted asking for another hint.
$3 million for that little bridge? jeez.

a little too far for me to grab today. maybe next week

Sure, Hartford County, The water has a lot of names but it is really just a stream, might be called mountain brook or belden brook, still gets wicked with bad weather.

So just to keep some motivation for you to go get it quick, I am going to tell everyone else that it is near this PREVIOUS NW CT TOR Tag

And while mentioning the Nw TOR, that current tag is only 10 miles from this threads current Tag (a good twenty minute ride though)

I've been thinking about making a run, but the snow is a downer. Can't seem to get motivated. I went to the garage and thought about it then came back in the house and it was nice and warm.

Maybe later.....

Rusty, you just brought something to mind, with the snow that might not be the safest spot to take a pic, but there is a private rd across from the bridge which must be safer.... and fwiw- today is awesome out.

Waited till it got warmer today, but keeping in mind that it was going to rain also.

Finally decided that it's go time. Headed out. It was 16 miles to the tag. Started sprinkling at 14.5 miles. Grabbed the tag and headed home. Just as I pulled into my driveway it started raining hard. If I left 5 mins later it would've been messy.

Grab: Silver St and Rte 189 N. Granby, CT

Wanted to move it farther but it was starting to rain harder so I settled for this: New tag

Hint, if you are here:

you can see the cows.

32.8 miles today. Probably the most since Thanksgiving weekend. Felt good to get out.
