Laugh Lol

LOL Doc!
You sure know how to express yourself.

I was hopin' to go straight from the bond company to the DMV, but I guess a few more days won't hurt. It's gonna be so pretty tomorrow, I'm going to ride mildly ill-eagle.

My luck, by the time I'm all tagged up, we'll get one of those two-week-long ice storms.

Thumb Finaly

I went back to the place I bought my bond from, yesterday, to see what the hold-up was.
The agent thought the bond company was mailing the bond, the bond company thought the agent downloaded the document from their website.
So after a brief chat on the phone, the agent got a lesson in downloading, and TA-fucking-DA today I was e-mailed my bond document.
It would have been too simple for that to have happened LAST month.

So.....Monday will be a trip to the tag office.

dont you just love it when the red tape gets cut along the way?

I got my Bond back yesterday from the state...I did not know this but apparently here in AR, they hold the bond for 3 years waiting to see if anyone will dispute the title search, and when there is no dispute, they mail the bond back to you satisfied that you are the true owner.

Now I wonder if I can take that bond and sell it to someone else or cash it in! I wish!

Talking Yup

Yeah Doc, try to cash it in. That would be good for some laughs.
I wonder who gets the money if the ownership IS contested? I would be the one out the purchase price, so in all fairness, I should get the money.

Pissed Are you kidding me!!!

I went to the DMV yesterday, and although I left with a tag,
I was told that I may get a letter from LR telling me I have to purchase ANOTHER bond.

Apparently you must tag the bike within 30 days of purchasing your bond.
If you will notice the dates on my posts above, it took the bond company 30 days to get me my freaking bond certificate after the purchase date.

I swear that they just make this shit up, as your standing there, just to jack with you.

it seems to me that you can go back to where you got the bond and have them re-issue a new one FREE of charge as they dropped the ball on the first bond...it must've set on someone out going mail pile for a month..and the words "MAY" come to play here..I wouldnt worry abt it until you do get a letter from LR, and if you do, contact the bond Co.

Thumb Great minds?

Doc, I was thinking the same thing.
I plan on enjoying the bike, and dealing with LR if/when it comes up. I have the e-mails from the bond agent, and the receipt, so I have proof IF it comes to that.

All-in-all I would do it again for the right bike at the right price.

I got the dreaded letter from LR yesterday. I have to re-do my bond, so that the date is within a month of my registration date.

Next Step

I went to the insurance agent, to fix the bond situation, today. She was very helpful, contacted the bond company and got a "rider" for my bond.
This should adjust the date to Little Rocks specifications.
I went straight from there to the post office, and sent it certified mail to Little Rock.
Now more waiting.

All you guys doing this and writing about it is a huge help. I am going to have to load the trailer and head to Springdale soon.

Do they have all the paper work in Springdale i will need? My printer took a dump on me.

swing by the revenue office there in benton co, get the paperwork started..then either pay a $25 fee to have a state trooper come to you or trailer up and run down to Troop L in SPD and have them verify the vin there, FREE..pretty easy really, just time consuming is all
