What is a good price for a 08 990 Adv?

I am in San Diego and am looking for a new 08 990. I called one dealer in Temecula about an hours drive from me who was selling an 08 for 12.6K +tax lic=$13.8k.

Is this about as good as it gets? steve

not sure if it's a good price, but I paid the same 2 months ago in Atlanta....

There is a recent thread on this - a leftover 07 will save you $$. The model is unchanged.

I am pricing them as well in the Bay Area. I'm finding $14k OTD is typical. 2007s are a little less but not much. Ace Motorsports in Concord has two 07s that they will deal on.

I just bought a new 2008 990 yesterday!! After lots of online research and phone calls to dealers I bought at $12,350 all-in. Sales tax was the only additional amount. cycletrader.com is a good place to research availability and prices for different regions. There are some 08s advertised for $11,998 in Tucson. I found that 07s were very close to 08s in price, but the 08s come with a 2 year warranty and the 07s only 1 year. Good luck!!

If you can find a left over from the year before you will save $$. Most dealers get the bikes intrest free ffom the manufacture until the end of that calander year. After that it costs them money to have it on the floor. I have bought my last two KTM as left overs and saved big. My 06 950 was 12,200 OTD and my 06 300xcw was $5,942 OTD. Good luck

I just picked up an 08 Adventure S last month in So Cal. It took a quite a bit of haggling, but I was OTD for $13,400.

I bought my 08 990 in August for 14k after taxes which included two akro pipes, heated grips and a KTM tall tour windshield all installed.

Without all the add-on I got the bike for 12.5k

08 demo with 521 odo for $11.990 + tax, first service done. The only other one close to me is on the floor at $14.500.

Did somebody say the 08 comes with a two year warrantee? I think I missed that. I was assuming the standard one year.

Pretty sure they changed to 2 years for '08.

I have got one dealer in SD offering $13.5K OTD which is about 12.4 sales price.

I still am vacillating between the 990 and the 800gs. I had a 650 dakar which I really liked although it was too slow. steve
