funny thing is that this ride isn't that far north compared to other places I've lived...but it feels equally far north!

After a bit of confusion, we got rolling again.

About half an hour later I saw the DR's headlight getting smaller in my rearviews...WTF?

Even with the IMS tank, the DR was acting like it was out of fuel.

Reserve didn't help.

We added 7 litres from our reserves to the tank. Nope. Bike kept dying.

SHIT! Now what?

We had to make a decison...save the gas for the KLR, in case we had to run in two up on one bike?

Try filling up the rest of the tank on the DR, and see what happens?

Ron, I am glad you took some photos to share with us. I really wanted to ride up there with you's........I like exploring abandonded places like that. Maybe search "Stirland Lake" and see what it brings up.

Interesting observation. I noticed a few "unusual" people
when we stopped in Savant Lake to warm up.

Looks like the fun came in small "cold" concentrated bursts.

Lucky for you, there was frozen butter tarts.

Know you need to get a camera that works while in the hands of a shakey operator. (However it does give a nice effect)
