Just wasn't sure if there was an issue with them being tubeless...

I can't hardly find the TA2's anywhere, however found what seems to be a smoking deal on a set of the (i'm assuming older) TA's for $280 shipped.
Do you think there is really much of a difference?

Can vouch for this one as well. I'm on my second set on my raod wheels and love them. Good in the rain and great in the dry. You can ride most of the hardpacked gravelroads with great confidence. Mud or loose gravel = less confidence...

I got close to 10000km out of my first set and will be close to that on the second set as well. It wears quite fast in the beginning but it slows down.

See TA-Zappa's post above. That sounds like a great deal. The TA IIs are pretty new I think, so perhaps not in wide circulation. I would grab what you can get and go for it.

Why, oh why is the 140/80/18 not coming to the US?

Where is the best place to order those internationally and having them shipped to the U.S.?

Karoo 3

Anyone trying the Karoo 3 set?

I need to replace the 908 on my Baja before they die on the abrasive Fl roads... Hate this flatness..

Has anyone tried the Irc tr8 front tire. I have been running this on my dr650. Seems to have similar profile as a t63 with longer knobs.

I run 908s on the rear of my TE610 with a Desert on the front and I like it but I'm wondering if it'll like the weight of the 950? I personally prefer the Desert over a 606 but I know others don't.

I just got a 908 for the rear of the 950 and am trying to chose a corresponding front (30/70 road/dirt).

I run a desert on the front of my 990. Keep in mind that it is a dirt tyre i find it good, safe and stable on tarmac. Not as good as the MT21 though.
In off road it is just amazing. Very sharp nd precise. I won't change it.

+1 desert front. Only other knobbie I'd run on the front is the pirelli scorpion Rallye. Both amazing tyres off road for grip and wear.
I'm on a 1.85 excel front for comparison

Riding pard had the other michellin on his SE, his seemed to last a bit longer.. For the expense ( I think I paid about $ 160 delivered) I would not buy another. For another 30 bucks you could have the 908 RR. I get at least 2 - 2.5 times the mileage.

I just cannot get used to spending so much on rubber, unfortunately the price jump for the 908's seems to be here to stay.

Rocky mountain has the dunlops for about $184, best I can find right now. I will be ordering up one soon.
I tried the "old" on my 950 ADV(now gone). They were hard and long lasting. I did 3000 kms from Rome to the sahara desert and back. Half Tarmac half Desert rocks and sand. Once bak they were still usable I would say for another 1000kms at least. On tarmac the rear was hard. This tyre was used by rally racer on the 950 ADV in Dakar and other race.
Before the trip

During...

At the end...

I tried the "new" on the 690R for a short trip to Tunisia this year and in few short rides in UK trails. They are definiively softer and more rounded than the old one. Somehow on light bike I am sure will perform better on road. I can't really tell the difference on off road as I was riding two different bikes. For sure they will last very little on a bike twin.

No difference on the front as far as I can tell. I love it on the dirt on any bike and it is acceptable on tarmac.

I love this tire!!! Made 5k for me and could have done another 2k on the front. When I purchased, I picked up two for about $50 each.
