Dude, that was pretty awesome for a lunch run! My hat's off to you! I left around 9 AM but took my time.

BtW, there was no cell coverage in Haralson. I tried to upload the pic to photobucket and I just got the turning wheel. I had success when I got to Manchester though.

It's really good when you have the day off. Work is so highly overrated!

Taking my Bike in the morning to get the tire changed. So I should be back up and running this weekend. May have to give the new tire a test run on Saturday.

Alright Terry! I wonder if you went through Americus? Pretty cool town that needs further investigation!

Check out the Windsor Hotel in Americus if you like historical buildings.

Yes, the big old hotel in Americus is cool, but then there is also this:

The abandon building in Richland is an old historic hotel.

New tag later, I am still a few hours from home.

Okee Dokee, back home from a wonderful day in the saddle. From the great city of Perry, winding westward then south to Thomasville to have lunch with my MTF LDR brothers and sisters.

To close the Richland Tag, great find there Mr. Jub. The Richland Historic Hotel. Started with a little fog.

Great sunrise.

To answer your question Jub, I did not pass through Americus, I chose to go North of that wonderful city. I frequently pass through Americus, it is a beautiful city with outstanding Architecture, you are correct, it is worth a visit.

The route I chose did present this wonderful item.

And the Tag

It is not without its tenants however. This little jewel tries to eek out a living in the Southwest corner of the old place.

And a Blast from the Past: Richland Circa 1860

If ever in Thomasville try the Market Diner, a buffet all ya want for $8.85 including tea, naturally leave a good tip with these prices, went back for 2 more servings.

Hey Jub, we should make a run for this to see how it is.

New Tag shortly

New Tag, an easy, easy find but a nice little road coming from the North. Do not be "leary" of the building, the tag is the sign.

YOUR NEW TAG:

And with the bike, a forgotten requirement.

Be Safe Out There.

Terry, nice job documenting your ride today. Looks like you were up at the crack of dawn. Probably the best bet to grab a tag without Bruce showing up.

I'm definitely up for a ride to check out the restaurant you found and as far as your new tag, I'm thinking you have a thing for fish with whiskers!

BTW, I know the route you took.

Thanks Jub, we should get together & check it out. Yep, ya got the route right. I was not planning to grab the tag but late last night some family plans changed so I altered my route, beautiful ride. I took a ton of pics but in the end the Catfish theme won out. I really thought Mike would get it yesterday with the new tire.

Be well

I almost did but my brackets came in for the new bags I am putting on my bike, and I decided I wanted to get them installed, then get out Saturday and get it. I remembered a little later that my Daughter was coming home on Saturday so I needed to hang around the house. It's probably a good thing because I would not have got that early a start and you probably would have Bruced me.

not on my way to Forsyth though. i'll be zooming up there this evening after work. tomorrow, i'll be returning home with the accuracy and timing of a scud... so if anyone between Forsyth and Adel wants to meet up along the way, let me know.

i suspect i'll be leaving forsyth around 4pm-ish.

if you like, PM me... and i'll pass my cell# on to you.

i was thinking about stopping at the NuWay place in downtown macon. still thinking about it. love some chilidogs.
