Y'all must not have been getting the rain we have in Macon county..... You would have needed a pontoon boat if you had.

We've got at least four heavy showers today.... Pond in backyard well out of the banks and wind kicking up now... May have to roll up the big screen and move inside shortly.... Let's see that new tag....

My wife tells me that all the time.

Pretty much mulled around all day piddling on the bikes. Once I saw the sun come out, I surveyed the road and was on my way! Took about 30 minutes on the back roads to get to the tag! I was ready for that tag to move!

I'm going for something special tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be a worthwhile ride to get the next tag!

^ Nice. I'm heading to my parents property to try out the XT on the trails. Kids have had serious cabin fever with all this dreary weather. We're gonna dust off all the dirt bikes and go get dirty!

well, since the tag has been gotten, i might take the day to destroy the carb on the wife's bike. again. maybe.

well, doing that won't cost me any money, so its the most likely thing to happen.

That's awesome! I had two girls, neither which wanted anything to do with bikes.

if the current state of events is any indication... my little boy will learn everything about cars... but be too worried about getting dirty to touch them. my little girl wont give two hoots about getting dirty... nor will she care about what exactly she's doing. she'll just take everything apart.

so, it would appear that Perrin will be the brains of the operation, and Isabella will do the dirty work.

on a side note. I got to work on the wife's bike yesterday. only did a little bit of tuning. its running like a champ except for an intermittent bobble at 55. run it up to 60 and it runs smooth. if i could afford it, i'd just do FI on this tempermental little thing. hahahaa

Kind of like the difference between and officer and enlisted in the military.

Carbs catch Hell on motorcycles that sit around a lot. I try to start mine at least once a week and keep lot's of Stabil in the tank and carb(s). Keeps them spring fresh!

i had stabil in there. that carb has to be one of the most convoluted contraptions ever conceived (its real small, and even has an accerlator pump). in any case... its at least running. before, one of the ports was clogged right at the throttle plate, so when you were just off idle to about 2000 rpm, it kept falling on its face. once over 2500 rpm, it pulled hard and ran great.... but the idle was erratic.

if the wife cant find time to putter around our little city once in a while, then i guess i'll have to do it. so far, the KLR has been trouble free. left it sitting about a month once and worried... but it fired off and has ran awesome every time.
