Veterans Park in Reynolds,Ga.

Nice memorial to the troops.

We had not ridden since we all rode to eat lunch with our good friend in Ray City, felt pretty good in the wind.

In keeping with Mr. Simmons theme of "DARK" poetry your new Tag:

For Whom The Bell Tolls

It was an ideal day to ride.

Yeah, best laid plans and super bowl stuff, you know, time constraints. Son liked the bell.

plenty of time this day to get the new tag....
I left just before 8 and did the same. In fact I almost started not to go because of the fog, but figured that there would not be many cars on the road, especially on the roads I was taking. So I just had breakfast at the Eastman Huddle house and came home. Had my next tag all picked out but I guess it will have to wait.

I've been known to curse hot, dry, Georgia summers. Mostly because of my profession and part time job. However, I can't wait until the mercury rises and we have more than one day a week of sunshine.

One of the guys that works for me now, Bill, about 30+ years ago was 'camping' out as a young kid on his grandmothers porch a few doors down with some friends. Having nothing to do in the wee hours of the morning, they wandered down to the church, argued about who was going to ring the bell, mustered up the courage and well...........they could see lights coming on up and down the street......the bell didn't ring just once. it kept rocking back and forth. woke up half the town.......They may have been young at the time but not fast enough to get back to the porch before grandpa made it out the door. I understand he wasn't happy.

I was waiting for someone to ask: The clue is subtle and in the last sentence.

"It was an "ideal" day to ride."

Small town in the County tsimmons resides.

Ride safely.
