Yup, made it to my sister's in one piece, and managed to find some good roads along the way too.

Can you believe when I brought her out to dinner (if you're ever in Auburn I HIGHLY recommend a joint called Niffer's) and asked her what her favorite beer was she told me COORS LIGHT? We got THAT problem fixed. Oh yeah, their fried pickles KICK ASS.

And so yeah, tomorrow this tag is going south!

Well, just damn and War Eagle anyway.

My daughter attends Auburn. Daughter #2 says she is going there too. I have lots of family there.

What year is she in?

Niffers is one of my favorite places to eat.

If you want the olde time grungy bar experience, go to Bad Habits. Tell Justin I said "Hey". He wont know my adv handle, but I am a lake and tail gating acquaintance. He owns the Oyster Bar, too.

I love me some Auburn, AL.

Yeah, Clay, she got the looks all right... I'm just glad she has a good head on her shoulders. She's much smarter than either of her brothers, of course we didn't wet the bar too high.

Kewl, she is a junior, zoology major conservation of biodiversity track. I had never been to Niffers before. I had a new menu item... Hawaiian burger... teriyaki sauce with mozarella cheese and grilled pineapple topped burger. She said next time we are going to the Auburn Ale House. Usually we just go to Bogey's since its close.

Excellent! I am sure the burger was good. I have never had a bad meal at niffers. Ale House is good too. So is the Oyster Bar.

For the record, this is Auburn on Saturdays in the fall.

In the summer, 35 miles north of Auburn, this is Lake Martin. 39000 acres and 750 miles of shoreline of the cleanest, finest lake in the world.
Chimney Rock

Sunset on the North End, Jacksons Gap.

I do love me some Alabama.

Sorry, I am winter stir crazy.

Now, Back to your regularly scheduled Tag.

You fuckers quit hittin' on my little sister and get busy getting this tag!

You girls wanted it to go south, so south it went!

This famous "doctor" is more commonly thought of as a character from tales of the wild west, not normally assosciated with the deep south. Still, he was from here, and his mom's grave is proof.

Finding out who I'm talking about shouldn't be too hard. If more clues are needed I will provide them after a few days. Hell, his last name is right there.

This cemetary is one of the state's prettiest, if you have time take a stroll. Lots of history here.

Have fun, and take the back roads. Believe it or not there is some very nice scenery here.
