Exploring the meteoradar-highest point in the Istanbul District

Hello everybody. In my previous RR here,I tried to get to that radar point, crossed creeks twice, got drenched but failed...Without GPS,it was impossible to get there.
This time,I got it with me with tracks and routes downloaded in advance and that was a piece of cake for me,don't count the trails and dirts.I rode about 290 km that day. This point is the highest in the Istanbul District. Not very high next to your 10000 feet paths and points but here one could see a lot from 450 m.The landscape is plain here.
Well, that's enough. Now I let the pics talk again and believe that you'll like them.Don't forget your replies, they are a value to me.
Getting ready.Installing heated vests and GSM cables.Sunny but cold -ab 10 degrees. No wind, with luck....

There it is

My favourite trail starts right after tarmac

Shows that I'm just on my route, approved by GPS.

Approaching....

The iron horse-contented

Seems so high from here

At last....

Return...On the way to another point:not meteorology but telecommunication.

Tarmac roads again.Heading to the South,The Marmara Sea.

Not Switzerland.It's Turkiye

Tired but happy.

Not mine but I wish it would be.

Deserves the best dot at the parking lot.

Fish restaurants

The return....

That's the end folks.I don't know how many I have put up here but that counts pretty enough to portray where I live.

I've never seen the area around Istanbul, just the main city itself. Thanks for the tour and the pics

When you said highest point in Istanbul I was assuming that it would be on top of one of the seven hills.

Where exactly is the radar station located. I would think that is was on the East side of the city. But then I saw the vacation houses. They look like the ones that are typically on south side of town.

Where ever thay are your country is really nice. I liked the country and the people couldn't be friendlyer. I would love to someday tour Turkey on a bike.

Thanks a lot for your interest in the thread.
I hope this helps: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/12481226
That's very true. This is one of the highest points in İstanbul. It is about 100 km to the west of central İstanbul, but not east or south...
From there,I can see the Marmara Sea as well as the Black Sea together with local lakes. That was a fantastic feeling.
