Sounds like fun, there's also a group meeting over in Stayton for a ride on Sunday. I could show you a route all the way to the coast, mostly on gravel, or we could come out at Toledo for lunch....

This weekend looks like a great opportunity to ride. Its too bad the whole school thing has taken over my life.
By the way, I saw a black GS yesterday decked out with panniers and top case and looked like quite the ADV material. He was wearing a flip up helmet and riding through Corvallis on Western. Anyone on here?

I'm a long time lurker who lives in Corvallis and works at OSU (what a surprise!)
Unfortunately, I only have a street bike and riding on gravel scares the piss out of me. What can I say, I'm a newb! Albeit one who wants a DR650 one day... So you're the one who owns the zebra bike. I was wondering! |

4 brave riders went out into the fog this morning... And found that they could quickly rise above it.

We had a good ride on Sunday (16th). Went from 39 deg and fog, to about 70 deg and sun. Many of us had never ridden together before, so it was a little slow getting started and routing it. I had a great time though. Went over Flat Mtn, Praire Peak, Alsea and back home. 80 miles or so.
Junction City is a good half way point between Corvallis and the Ecological Paridise to the south of us. Did you guys see any sun on Sunday? Didn't think so. I have a great route from Junction City to the coast. But, the days are too short right now to make it there and back in one day. Let's work on this one for the spring? You all have chain saw mounts, right? This Sunday is looking good again.

After we got out of the fog it got sunny and warm we went from Loranne to drain and over to London springs then we all split up and made our separate ways home.
What is Chain saw Mouth? Maybe come spring would be better for a big combined ride. What do you think of a tech. day some time down this way?
