Do your co-workers fondle your gear?

I wear one of three armored jackets whenever I ride to work. I hang it up next to my office door. Every single day someone has to 'feel' the various parts of my jacket. The leather jacket gets the most attention. I don't know what makes these people want to caress my jacket like a high school boy copping a feel on a girl. They don't give a shit about my helmet, overpants, gloves, etc. Only the jacket gets fondled.

Anyone else have this issue?

At least they're not fondling the pants.

Jacket, helmet and gloves were always popular.

Usually it's my helmets that attract people's grubby fingers. But as long as their snot-nosed kids stay away from my helmets, I'm cool. I hate it when kids put my helmet on, then scratch up the face shield and drop it on the floor.

Yes the metrosexual in my office gets a hard-on everytime he sees my riding jacket. Picks it up and has to smell it. I told him I would get him some used panties if his wife's wont do. He stopped touching my stuff since then--cause one of the ladies heard me

People feel the overwhelming urge to touch or hit my armor peices on my jacket when i wear it.

Last time i was in line at the gas station some woman behind me rubbed my left shoulder piece, then rapped it with her knuckle like you would a door. I turned around and asked if i could help her, she just mumbled something and looked around.

Don't touch my stuff, look with your eyes not your hands as my kindergarten teacher would say.

Yeah... the gloves, they like the gloves

The bright green Olympia one-piece suit gets the expected comments, but all my gear is left alone. Except for the gloves.

Co-workers cannot keep their hands off my old Icon TiMax gloves. (The old style from about 5 years ago.) They grab 'em, put them on, and start banging the knuckle guards together. I'm not sure why. I picture a caveman banging two rocks together, trying to start a fire.... I figure it's something about the shiny metal. This has happened several times.

The gloves are nasty and uncomfortable so I could care less at this point.

My students are always playing around with my helmet and electrical gear. When they wear my helmet it just gives me an excuse to smack them in the head-just kidding!

Drunk girls at the bar always grab for the helmet so they can put it on. Will just walk up to the group of us ask " caaan can I wear your helmet?" Umm no, I wouldn't trust you to hold a pint glass let alone my Arai. I have one friend that always wants to punch the armor in my jackets. The last friend likes to wear my jackets, her I don't mind cause she makes them smell better.

I mostly get the friends who feel the need to 'verify' that the pants/jacket are indeed armored. Usually cause they don't believe me, and need to figure it out the hard way.

Other than that, its mostly along the lines of the stereotypical comments.

I have these old school metal studded fingerless gloves....

and my night googles are the glasses style with the foam lip on the inside...

Folks stop by all the time to put them on.. without asking...

But its funny... when the non-bikers put them on.. it causes them to do a george michael impression...
