That's decent mileage right there. I'd like to have a airhead to ride around on. One day...

dual plugging the heads gave a big boost to the mpg...I think I went 1 jet size smaller. The 1000cc had enough power so I was willing to give up some for some fuel milage

Lobster Grrl-
one of the riders in our group this weekend came up from Mass. on a bergman with 57K. Quite an independent rider. ...didn't hold a line too well in curves so I gave him plenly of room to manuver..

I've done the equivalent of that except I did it by adding a power commander to my FJR and running a fuel map designed to smooth the engine, and increase mileage.

Same effect anyway.

Lost some power but can really sip the fuel with it.

If you trailered to the campground, the people at the campground I'm sure would have no poblem leaving the trailer for a day or 2

I've been in contact with someone from Quebec who might join us if we can get a date nailed down or at least give us some pointers on riding Quebec
If you can let me know the planned route, maybe I could meet up with everyone for a few hours, maybe a lunch. Where is the campground?

Put 800 miles on the LCFoah this weekend....was getting 50mpg lumping along at 80mph on the highway....brings the poor thing down to only 350 miles/tank.

Thankfully at back roads speeds she's over 55mpg...so just shy of the 400 mile mark. Sure was nice passing gas station after gas station and not even thinking about it...

Nice!!! Sounds like a decent amount of time to snuggle up with it and figure out if you like it or not.

There's a problem with a 6'4" guy riding a HUGE orange bike around like a grinning idiot.

I can't blame anybody else for whatever I'm seen doing on it.

So go buy one will ya!
