I have finally come to terms with the fact that it is indeed time to stop dreaming about snowmobiles and time to get on with the bikes. I rolled out the XT350 today and started the healing process.

First stop, valve adjustment.

Not sure how far I will get as I am playing mr. mom till the wife comes home from Jamaica. It's a start. I know the pic is fuzzy sorry.

Well it's about time that poor bike got some proper attention. The PO's feeble and pathetic attemp did not do the bike justice. That guy should be forced to do a valve job on his own bike under the critical eye of a Grumpy Old Bastard.

Have fun.

The only thing it blends is poor handling and retro looks! I can't wait to treat it poorly.

The valves aren't too bad, just a little tight. I am really looking forward to getting this thing ready to ride. Fun stuff.

Fun is coming! Cool little bike.

Got any local trails you know about? Plenty to ride up in Jefferson out toward Liberty. I have a ton more exploring to do.

There are a few around, but they all seem to have impassable wet holes. I would love to tag along on some of those up your way.

If anyone needs to make faded fabric luggage black again, just did my incredibly faded tail bag with this stuff ($12 at Amazon)...quite impressed with the results:

I'm in Liberty, if you are around I would be happy to show you around here. We have the Frye mtn loop, and dozens of nice shaded dirt roads that are perfect for summer riding.

One time I tried to take the woods road to Frye from Morrill in late April. It was beautiful in town, but the trail went into a muddy valley. The trail was still ice covered. I tried to ride down it and the tires went through. I was up to the fork rubbers in mud. I had to drop the bike on its side, drag it into the woods to find soild ground and clutch it around trees until I could ride it back out. I have not been back since.

It's not so much that it is "Fuzzy" as it is that the point of focus is down at the exhaust pipe header spring...

Sorry...

If you continue to be normal until summer I would love to head over towards frye mountain. I was just there on my sled and that area looks like it could be fun during all seasons.

One heck of a spring shot huh? I need to work on that, my camera blows too. I have quite a list of new gadgets for the upcoming season.

I'm this close :pinchesforefingerandthumbtogetherreallytight to pulling the trigger on one of these.

It also happens to be water and shock proof - within limits. Seems to take a decent picture.

Cons in my book - doesn't use AA batteries but I'm trying to get past that.

These are also getting pretty good reviews for an ADV (read: nearly disposable) camera.

Click on the image for more info.

Recently, my phone has taken over camera duties. It'll take a 10 mp pic. Trouble is while riding it's a PITA (impossible). Stop, take off glove(s), dig it out, etc, etc. Takes great shots when yer stopped, though.

Looking for something to replace the A720is I've beat the snot out of hanging around my neck at the ready. It may just be another one of those - if I can find one. Last one was like $80 on e(vil)bay. ...ahem, after I scratched the shite out of the lens on the first one and let me tell you SCS was none too happy about that.

If you've gotten this far, go ahead and tell me this doesn't look like a hoot.

If yer afraid of getting caught watching it at least skip ahead to 0:53.

Mornin'.
