I haven't had much time to run it around to tell you the truth. From what I have ridden so far though, I can tell you the suspension is better, it has much more power, and it feels like a real motorbike. It is heavier for sure, but the size seems to suit my frame better than the KLX. I will miss that little green goblin 'cause it was a lot of fun to ride, but it's onward and upward for me.

Here is what happens.

1. Plug jacket in and hang on handle bar so that it remains motionless.

2. Apply power to system, red light on controller illuminates (positive condition).

3. Repeat three times to confirm findings.

4. While positive condition exists, gently squeeze different parts of jacket trying to induce failure.

5. Suspected area is right arm as indicated by the extinguished red power light (negative condition).

6. Repeat three times in order to reproduce identical failure.

7. Connect VOM to jacket.

8. Pressure to suspected area causes needle movement to positively identify a short.

I've got a call in to them now, word on the web site is that you have to be the original owner with proof. I think I got it directly from them so it should not be a problem.

I had 1 glove wire which did not work. Called them and asked for a cost to fix it and mentioned I was not the original owner. Was quoted $75 for general repair charge. So I got a RMA number and sent the jacket.. About 4 wks later the jacket shows up at my place in fixed condition and no invoice. So I never got charged anything. Hard to beat that service.....

So I just came back from a business trip to San Jose, and spent a few days with friends in Santa Cruz. I am making plans to move out there now.

Santa Cruz is beautiful! We visited my cousin out there last year. Absolutely gorgeous.

I've had to send back a pair of gloves and a jacket on separate occasions. I was never asked for any kind of proof of purchase or if I was the original owner. The glove wires had worn where they enter the plugs - Gerbing sent me a brand new pair of gloves at no charge. About a month ago I had the same problem with the jacket - wires on the sleeves for the gloves had worn right at the plugs - Gerbing put new plugs and wires on at no charge. Each time it took a little over two weeks, but they are probably starting to get busy now with cold weather and holiday season rapidly approaching. I'd recommend sending it in ASAP if you want to use it this winter.

+1 When one of my G2 gloves cratered on the return from Recompence 2011, Gerbings sent me a new (not repaired) pair of gloves right away. Service like that turns a customer into a walking/talking advertisement.

Happy T-day!

It's a day to Give thanks,

Enjoy Family and friends,

Eat Responsibly

Personally, I am thankful for all gifts (and toys) that I have been permitted AND if I'm careful, a lifestyle where I might be able to enjoy them.

Along those lines, I'm going for a ride when the sun comes up!
