If you want to laugh your butt off, then play this vid. This guy is leaving voice mail on a friends phone and sees an accident in front of him on the road. You will not be disappointed.

Redneck Paradise by Kid Rock

I like moonshine whiskey
I like home made wine
I don’t look for greener grass
Home grown suits me just fine
Welcome to my shanty
Drop by anytime
I bet you’ll like my Redneck Paradise

Redneck Paradise
It’s a hole in the wall kinda small but the people are real nice
And folks in here they’s free and clear
To drink beer and dance all night, that’s right
And no one’s uptight in Redneck Paradise

Now I might get a little tipsy
I might be past my prime
But pour some Jim Beam whiskey
And I’ll show you a real big time
You don’t need reservations
Drop by anytime
The sun is shinin’ in Redneck Paradise

And the things we like don’t cost a lot of money
Good foot stompin’ music gets us by
Measure up our wealth in friends and family
We’re gonna hit them honky tonks tonight

Down in Redneck Paradise
It’s a hole in the wall kinda small just look for the red light
And have no fear you’re free and clear to get wild and rock all night
We don’t bite
Cuz we get down right in Redneck Paradise
Down in Redneck Paradise

even found a video...cause...
"If it looks good, you'll see it. It it sounds good, you'll hear it.
If it's marketed right, you'll buy it...but...if it's real...you'll feel it!"

"yes" she said, " I guess they are not much fun melted..." and moved on...

Then you'll do just fine with an artificial tree.

It's Time

My apoligies up front for the long post. just thought i would bring folks up to speed on things.....rather you care or not.

Well it is time. I have missed 3 months of riding this year due to injuries associated with riding two wheels when I probably should not have been riding at all(it was worth it). I wont go into details but the fact is my physical health is making life a bit difficult these days and self inflicted moto injuries is putting at risk some other things that i could still be enjoying.

It's been a great run. Rode my first bike in 1974 and bought my first two-wheeler in 1976. My mom could see the writing on the wall ie...injuries, and would not let me have a bike until I was out of the house but I have pretty much owned one ever since. Lots of bikes, friends, injuries, and wild times over the years that have left me with many great memories of adventures and with the scars to prove it. Like I said, it really has been fun.

So that's it no more two wheelers for me.........

I did not say I give up motorcycles. After months of research and coming so close to pulling the trigger on different rigs from Urals, BMW, old hacks, new hacks, huge goldwings and motoguzzi rigs, and small Vespa sidecar rigs, and while also keeping in mind that i would be lucky if I even make it long enough to ride at all never mind a whole season I knew I did not want to have $12g-$15g into a hack set up, i finally reached a decision.......

I have decided to keep my Dakar, buy a sidecar, and spend the winter with local moto friends attaching it to my GS. I was even thinking that maybe one or two Maine ADV guys would stop in and lend a hand wrenching, which would give me a chance to meet some of you FF. My hands don't work all that well and getting up and down is difficult so I will need some help, but I think I can do it and...... it just feels right. I also really needed something to get me through the winter and this is kind of a symbol of hope for me. Call it a mental stabilizer. A way to have people visit me without them feeling uncomfortable because of how their friend now looks, moves and speaks. Something they can help me with, and its a way for me to continue to be who i have been for the last 38 years. Instead of me just sitting in a chair feeling feeble I have a goal, a project, a purpose, and something that screams out what I can no longer scream............. Fuck ALS

So since I would not have reverse and the GS is a 650 I needed something light as possible. I don't think anyone will ride with me so I didn't care about a comfort car, or something with lots of room. Something dualsportish...

This will be delivered in seven weeks!!! Yahooooooooooooooooo!

Yes I am a lucky man.

stromsurfer...
A tough decision to make and a good choice. Good for you...

I have learned a thing or two about setting up a Hack and I am still not very good at it.... . Kidding, the correct brackets and you'll be all set. I would be happy to help out. If we get into trouble, I know a very good Hack set up guy in Auburn.

So are you getting the chair from DMC...? Good folks and you will probably receive good instruction on the set up from them... They must have a frame attachment kit for the GS or they are fanning it for you...?

Well, cool, glad to see that you are staying very positive.

Best,
Rob
