True, but with a little current you can usually get it going. At least you have a chance.
I did read that thread. My intensions for a kick start are when the battery is weak, not 100% dead.

*Have no idea the required maintenance rituals of a Berg. Just know the KDX-like feel with the 950-like throttle was a hoot and would prolly make you forget any of the downsides.
Agreed. I haven't dug into the KTM required maint. That might put me off it, or it might be time to suck it up and go with "you gotta pay if you wanna play".
I have these thoughts of dropping the 800 for a 990 as well, but I probably wouldn't like that maint. either.

Your link for the KTM had this link with it: http://www.ktm.com/uploads/tx_ktmpro..._OM_f3a19e.pdf Go into section 9 for a flavor. I'm sure if you're not full on racing there's some wiggle room.

990 maintenance isn't as bad as some make it out to be. Yes. The first time can be intimidating but once you go through it and make a few mods (like every other bike seems to like) you'll see it's not the end of the world.

But let's stay focused on your new Berg for right now...

Prolly should have worded that a little differently.

The XR does not cost me anything.

Truth be known the kick is not that big a deal. I would however rather enjoy a rear brake.

Rich, final offer.

Good single malt of my choosing, decent cigars and a case of some impossible to find Twinkies.
