Had a great Bon-fire with the boy last night!

Gonna make a nice Brunch and clean up a bit before a ride. Probably gonna try to show his Girlfriend a bit Casco Bay today

Happy New Year people! May 2013 be all that you can ask for.
Cheers!

First adventure and Bucket List item of the new year......at 12:01 the safety ropes holding my sled were let go resulting in a full speed ride down the Mt. Battie State Park road. Minor injuries including frostbite from lying face down in the snow waiting for friends to catch up to pick me up.

Awesome!!!
Happy New Year Everyone.

With the amount of ice and hard pack snow on my local roads and my god given ability to fall off my bikes I have decided against a ride today...

They are a little spendy but has anyone ever tried or have any thoughts on these..Aerostitch self tapping carbide tipped studs

Inmate Lobolator is using the #1200 stud from Grip Studs on a KLX. I'm pretty sure the Aerostich studs are from Grip Studs, but I don't know how the part numbers cross reference.

Looks like the low profile A from aerostitch is about the same...price is about the same as well. Looks like about $250 and a set of tires..

You, Sir, have given new meaning to the acronym SSDD. Stromsurfer, different day.

studs

I have used both the Grip studs and the Aereostich ones on my DR650 in the past. I have found that the best combination was the Aerostich ones on the rear tire (on a Kenda270) and the Grip ones on the front (Kenda Trackmaster). I used a total of more or less 200 studs. The grip and the traction on ice and hard pack snow is unbelievable. I did however keep pushing them until eventually I lost control of the front tire on a iced up dirt roads and I fell. This year I have not decided if to install them or not. I suppose it depends on how long the winter is going to be and how much I need a ride before everything starts too melt...
