studs

I have used both the Grip studs and the Aereostich ones on my DR650 in the past. I have found that the best combination was the Aerostich ones on the rear tire (on a Kenda270) and the Grip ones on the front (Kenda Trackmaster). I used a total of more or less 200 studs. The grip and the traction on ice and hard pack snow is unbelievable. I did however keep pushing them until eventually I lost control of the front tire on a iced up dirt roads and I fell. This year I have not decided if to install them or not. I suppose it depends on how long the winter is going to be and how much I need a ride before everything starts too melt...

At that price, the studded dual sport tires from Kevin's Cycle might be a good alternative.

Im not seeing anything for ice in a 17" rear bigger than a 120 ....

I'm I missing something?

I have little experience here but I would think the XR would need a bigger patch.

If ya haven't ridden here, you should try to put it on the b list. Bodie California gold mining town.

I was looking at photos this cold winter evening and ran across them. Plenty of dirt out to the town.

Here ya go if you're bored.

0 down in Keene but about 8 here at the house. Slight breeze makes it feel a little colder.

Yeah, it was a brisk morning, but one day closer to spring. :) Until then, I am going skiing.

A balmy 13° down south here in sunny Saco at 7:00 am this morning. I thought it was cold until I saw your post, now it feels warm.

And . . . a little more daylight every day now.

Been awfully quiet around here today

Ginger was just drooling over these..seems Honda is releasing a line of 3 bikes using the same 500cc motor. Hopefully they will be at the Moto show in NYC later this month...wouldn't mind getting a look at a couple of this years releases

That looks cool!

Going to the show down in NY are ya?

Thinking about driving to CT then hopping a train into the city. Did it that way before. Good long day.

I'm still on the fence about the LOOK of the NX700

But I'm not going to be buying one anytime soon so I have time to figure it out. COULD replace the v-strom some day... maybe
